The Brooks Cascadia 20 GTX is a waterproof, heavy-duty trail running and hiking shoe designed for wet, muddy, and technical terrain. Features a 6 mm heel drop.

- GORE-TEX Invisible Fit: This is a waterproof liner. It is glued directly to the shoe's outside mesh. It keeps your feet dry without feeling stiff or bulky.
- Vibram Megagrip Outsole: This is a super-sticky rubber used on the bottom of the shoe. It has 4 mm lugs (grippy teeth) that help you safely walk on wet rocks and loose mud.
- DNA FLASH v2 Foam: This is soft, spongy material under your foot. Brooks pumps this foam full of nitrogen gas. Think of it like a memory foam mattress that instantly springs back to help you push off the ground.
- Trail Adapt System: This acts like a mountain goat's split hooves. The bottom of the shoe is broken into independent pods. They flex separately, allowing the shoe to wrap around uneven rocks and roots instead of tipping your ankle.
